And after 5 very intense, stressful and formal days of being in the hotel, only getting outside to walk around the parking lot once for a few minutes, God lightens the mood with His sense of humor... my car must have been the meeting place for every bird in the neighborhood!!! We drove straight to a car wash, and then on to Jacksonville, NC - only to see that somewhere along the 4 1/2 hour journey, my front license plate had half fallen off...
Lance completed the check-out process with the Marine Corps, and we drove off Camp Lejeune for the last time on Friday, August 23rd!
