There are so many local festivals in various small towns around us, so we decided to try out the Shrimp Festival in Sneads Ferry this year. Despite a dreary weather report, we got there in time for the parade... and got soaked!!! At first the kids didn't seem to be enjoying the mini parade while wet and freezing (and Daddy reminded them that this was Mommy's idea)... but we stayed to wave at the those in the parade who were equally drenched, got hot cocoa on the way home, and laughed about the silliness later.
Definitely a small town parade, and we didn't even come home with any shrimp. But it ended up being a fun rainy day adventure!

haha! Isn't it funny how things like this can be kind of miserable at the time, but such a great laughable memory after the fact?! ;)
